Nonspeaking Traveler, by Swarit Gopalan

Nonspeakers should continue to push the boundaries that limit us. I wrote this poem for Nico Segrera, inspired by his travel to study abroad. Nico and others are showing the way.

NONSPEAKING TRAVELER
Traveler, lead us through paths unknown
Traveler, change minds that are obstinate
Traveler, push boundaries of possibilities
Traveler, seek challenges that are feared
Traveler, make memories that matter
Traveler, listen and then listen more
Traveler, move like love moves you
Traveler, give freely and with glee
Traveler, let the universe be your guide
Traveler, let our light be your companion
Traveler, go and write that history
Traveler, see the world marvel at this soul.
