Links Forming – Victor Cheng

I am disconnected in so many ways. At the level of my neurons. Between my mind and movements. Apart from my ancestral homeland. From my intellect to the possibilities of using it. I am disconnected from the assumptions that others make of me.

I crave connection. In my neural pathways, from my brain to my body. From my true self to how others see me. With my heritage. With friends who know me as I am.

This is my all-encompassing goal. To form connections in my life. I feel the spark with each new link. It is like new frontiers opening up. Skies to fly through. Flames that illuminate and warm. Going down a flowing river on a raft and admiring the forest as I glide by.

I can get my words out finally through new connections in my arm. I can make true friends with my words. I can ask to learn about my ancestors. I can share my feelings with my family. I can reach you with this.

I am alive with links newly formed. I am alive with links to be formed.
