See that house? Right on the daisy covered hill? That’s ours. Ours as in this home belongs to no
one and everyone. Ours as in this adoration contains dirt and spit. Ours as in we were promised a
life beyond trauma. Ours as in it took every piece of our strength to build this home. A table out
of old spaceships. Blueberry pies lined up on the counter. The door is always unlocked. Praise
the singing always floating around the kitchen. Praise the friends sprawled out in the living
room. Praise how their joy blooms in the garden. Praise the homes we build together with the
scraps we're given. Praise the ways we hold each other as the stars crash down. Praise how the
glistening bodies spill in.
